Blizzard has confirmed that Overwatch Open Beta is coming to PS4, PC and Xbox One this May via a blog post. The release dates have also been announced. Before we move on to the dates, here is another good news for the fans of this game. If you have a group of friends who are willing to play the game with you, you can “try out the team shooter of tomorrow in the Overwatch Open Beta” said the company in the post.

Now comes an announcement for gamers who are planning to pre-order Overwatch. For pre-orders, you and a friend of yours will get early access to the Overwatch Open Beta on 3rd and 4th May prior to the actual launch of the game. After 4th May, everyone will be given free access to the game from May 5 to May 9. The actual game will launch on May 24, 2016. The pre-order offer is available only if Overwatch Open Beta is purchased by April 29 through:

  1. Retail Stores
  2. Battle.net Shop
  3. Xbox Store or PlayStation Store

To avail the offer, make sure you pre-purchase Overwatch Open Beta from the partici[ating retailers only. When will your retailer provide the early access to you? “If you previously pre-purchased or preordered Overwatch at a participating retailer, contact your store to find out how to receive your early access keys,” wrote Blizzard in the blog post. The post further mentioned that

  1. Early access keys on PC can be redeemed immediately through Battle.net Account Management (“Games & Codes” > “Add a Game Key”).
  2. Early access keys on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be redeemable beginning on May 3, 2016. Please be sure to save your key(s) and redeem them on May 3 to download and play the game.

Make sure you do not lose an opportunity to play the game before everyone else gets access to the game. It is always a privilege to be the  first one to try a new technology, a new game or a new gadget. Mark the dates on your calendar, right now!
