Leonardo DiCaprio finally wins the Oscars!


Finally, Leonardo DiCaprio gets his elusive Best Actor Award in the 2016 Oscars and the actor receives a long, standing ovation. DiCaprio stated, “Let us not take this planet for granted,” “Climate change is real, it is happening right now… it is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.”

The Best Director goes to ‘The Revenant’ helmer, director Alejandro González Iñárritu. Alejandro González is the first director in more than a half century to win back-to-back directing Oscars. The director stated, “Let’s make the color of our skin as irrelevant as the length of hair.”

Brie Larson won the Best Actress award for ‘Room.’

Sam Smith won the Best Song for the soundtrack of the film, ‘Spectre.’

Best Original Score goes to Ennio Morricone for the ‘The Hateful Eight.’

The biographical comedy-drama film The Big Short, got the Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and the award was presented by the Canadian actor and musician Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.

Alicia Vikander won the supporting actress for the biographical romantic drama film ‘The Danish Girl.’ The other nominees were Jennifer Jason Leigh for ‘The Hateful Eight,’ Rooney Mara ‘Carol,’ Rachel McAdams ‘Spotlight,’ and Kate Winslet for the film ‘Steve Jobs.’

Director Tom McCarthy’s Spotlight, won the Best Original Screenplay Award. And the actress and fashion model Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt presented the award to the film’s writer Josh Singer and director Tom McCarthy.

Spotlight also won the Best Picture award.

The frontier survival and revenge film ‘The Revenant,’ leads the Oscars 2016 with 12 nominations, including best picture and acting nominations for the actor who has won three Golden Globe Awards Leonardo DiCaprio and the English actor and producer Tom Hardy for supporting actor.

‘The Revenant’ actor arrived at the 88th Academy Awards. Leonardo DiCaprio said that they are all nervous at the moment. And DiCaprio thinks that director Alejandro González Iñárritu has accomplished something that is surpassing the ordinary.

Julianne Moore was spotted at the event donned in Chanel and paired it with a giant Polo mint earring.

The English actress, model and fashion icon Charlotte Rampling, hit the red carpet of Oscars 2016 in Armani.

The Australian actress and theatre director Cate Blanchett also arrived, Cate Blanchett is nominated for a Best Actress Award for her outstanding performance in the drama film of director Todd Haynes, Carol.

Meanwhile, Sam Smith performs Writing’s on the Wall, the singer’s Oscar-nominated song from the twenty-fourth James Bond film, Spectre. Sam Smith was introduced by the stand-up comedian and actress Sarah Silverman.
