When one has a wicked dad like Klaus Mikaelson, the first word out of a baby’s mouth will never be “dad.” So will Hope speak her very first word in “The Originals” season 4?
‘The Originals’ Season 4
A lot has transpired for the original family in season 3 of “The Originals”. With Cami’s death and Klaus making the big sacrifice of enduring Papa Tunde’s blade for the sake of his siblings, there are a lot of directions to which the next season can go. While the sacrifice was certainly a point in favor of Klaus’ humanity, there is no telling how he will react after he comes back from the torturous hell he is in.
Klaus had always abhorred relinquishing control over his family, especially since being alone is what he fears the most. But now, with the rest of the members of the original family into hiding, Klaus is left alone to endure the miseries of Papa Tunde’s blade. After seeing what pain a selfless act can bring, there is real possibility that Klaus decides against committing selfless deeds ever in the future.
Amidst the roller coaster ride, Hope, Klaus and Hayley’s daughter, is growing up. Having none of the normal experiences a typical 2-year-old is supposed to have, what will Hope’s first words be? In an exclusive interview with TV Line, Phoebe Tonkin, who plays Hayley on “The Originals”, guessed that it will definitely not be “dad”.
“I feel like she’d definitely call him ‘Klaus’ not ‘dad’. I think she is that kind of daughter, like ‘Klaus’, like won’t call him ‘dad’,” said Tonkin.
This makes sense since Hope’s “dad” is definitely not a normal father, either! So are the viewers going to hear Hope say her first words in the upcoming season?
