“Orange is the New Black” season 4  is nearing its premiere and more spoilers are being revealed. What will happen to Piper this time?

While a lot of her inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary are not happy about her presence, could it be possible that Piper Chapman (portrayed by Taylor Schilling) would eventually face death during the upcoming season?

OITNB Season 4: Piper Returns

According to Bustle, the newly-released trailer of the fourth season might have suggested about Piper’s downfall especially because her co-inmates would try to avenge themselves.

At the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour earlier this year, showrunner Jeniji Kohan pointed out that Piper has always been on a journey that can accidentally rub the people around her the wrong way, and this may still hold true in “Orange is the New Black” season 4.

“I think Piper is definitely on a journey and we work the vicissitudes of likability,” Kohan dished then.

With the fact that she is not so likeable among her fellow inmates, her downfall may just arrive soon considering that she “pissed off a whole lot of people in her short time at the prison.” However, this may be viewed in different ways, especially in the four corners of the prison cell.

The report noted that with no one to protect her in “Orange is the New Black” season 4, Piper may possibly pay greatly, even suffering great physical harm. It remains to be seen if she could apologize to them so that reconciliation can happen.

Another theory cited relative to the fate that awaits Chilling’s character was she may just “leave the prison as the person she’s become, learning very little from her experience.”

As how “Orange is the New Black” season 4 executive director Kohan had put it, “Piper was our entrée to our world. She’s always a presence and we’re invested in her story, but as it grows, we’re invested in everyone’s story.”

In relation to this, Hit Fix disclosed that the former artisanal bath soap business owner would no longer be the star of the hit comedy-drama series. It was cited that her role was slowly diminishing since season 2.

Could she vanish completely from the show by being killed off?

Catch the premiere of “Orange is the New Black” season 4 on Netflix on June 17.
