The highly isolated communist North Korea is on its nuclear war rhetoric anew, warning of a possible nuclear showdown should the United States continues its interference in the regional conflict.
Addressing the recent United Nations assembly, North Korea’s foreign minister Ri Yong Ho, the recent conflict between the North and South Koreas would end up in a dangerous nuclear tension if the U.S would continue to poke its nose into the matters in the Korean Peninsula, the Sun reported.
Nuclear War Scenario
The next month or so in the U.S would be crucial as far as the tension in the North Korea is concerned as the results in the elections would have a significant impact on how the U.S would handle its position in region.
The result of the upcoming elections, according to some experts, would have a major impact on the direction of the ongoing tension in the Korean Peninsula. During his speech, the North Korean envoy has criticized the U.S’ ‘hostile policy’ in the Korean Peninsula, which, according to him, could trigger a nuclear tension in the region with a devastation that could cause damages that are ‘beyond imagination’.
North Korea Ready to Fight
Ri said his country is willing and ready to go into any possibility in order ‘to defend the dignity and right to existence and safeguard genuine peace vis-a-vis the increased nuclear war threat of the United States’.
In a special report published by the CBS News, the idea of the next U.S president igniting a nuclear war is not a farfetched idea was revealed. It also showed that the next chief executive of the most powerful nation in the world could actually stop or start a nuclear showdown as evidenced by the previous events some three years ago, referring to the U.S-Russian nuclear agreements.
