“It is impossible to imagine him not being here,” Sheena Easton said about Prince’s death. “The world of music was forever changed the day he picked up his guitar. His talent was breathtaking, his heart was kind, and all of us have been blessed to have had a glimpse into this sweet and magical soul.”

Meanwhile, Patti LaBelle expressed that she is “deeply saddened by Prince’s untimely passing.”

“Not only was he a dear friend to me, but an inspiration,” the 71-year-old “New Attitude” singer said. “His talent, artistry and influence are unparalleled and there will never be another like Prince! The world has suffered a great loss! May he rest in everlasting peace.”

For the CEO and President of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Greg Harris, “Prince changed the game. He controlled the stage, he controlled the music and he controlled the media.”

In the meantime, to pay tribute to the musician who brought the famous songs “Little Red Corvette,” and “Kiss,” MTV temporarily halted its regular programming to play his music videos.

Apart from it, the music channel also changed its logo to purple in reference to Prince’s “Purple Rain.”
