Nike has revealed the official release date of the Kobe 11 Elite and the LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 USA Editions.
Team USA will once again showcase its basketball dominance in the 2016 Rio Olympics. The bad news is Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will be skipping this year’s Summer Games. Fortunately, Nike came prepared anyways.
According to Nike.com, the Kobe 11 Elite White/Deep Royal colorway will be released on Monday, July 18. The shoe will be available for both men’s and kid’s sizing on Nike.com. Retails price ranges from $135 to $200.
The Nike Flyknit upper is lighter, but stronger on the Kobe 11 Elite. The material provides formfitting comfort and ultralight support for the foot. The Lunarlon foam in the forefoot area features flex grooves to allow the toes to spread naturally during hard cuts and powerful first steps.
The tongue and inner sleeve is made of mesh material for breathability and a sock-like feel. The outsole of the shoe is translucent rubber with multi-directional micro-tread traction pattern.
The Kobe 11 Elite features a drop-in Lunarlon midsole with Nike’s patented Zoom Air cushioning in the heel. This set-up ensures maximum court feel in the forefoot and reliable impact protection in the heel.
Also releasing this Monday is the LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 USA colorway. The lace-less performance basketball sneakers will be priced at $140.
Sole Collector noted that the shoe has an American Flag-inspired colorway. Obsidian dominates the upper while White is featured on the top strap, the Nike swoosh and the outsole. The handles of the straps and LeBron’s logo on the midfoot strap are all in red.
Footwear reviewer Nightwing2303 commended Nike for trying something different with the LeBron Zoom Soldier 10. The shoe has three large straps instead of laces and contains two thick Nike Zoom units on the midsole.
