Nickelodeon Will Air Old Shows: ‘Rugrats’ Vs. ‘Hey Arnold’? Which One Do You Want Revamped For Airing?
People got excited when Nickelodeon hinted that it is going to bring back some of the most beloved titles of its earlier programming days. Rumors say “Rugrats” is one of them. Find out more in this report.
Nick’s president of content and development, Russell Hicks, said in an interview with Variety, said that they “are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way.”
Now this doesn’t really give much details so any show will possibly be fit for this new idea. Some say its Rugrats, some say “Hey Arnold.” There are also no word as to whether the reprogramming will make rehashed or modernized version of the shows. They could also come out as specials like a movie or something else we cannot phatom yet.
Hicks is tight-lipped about the shows they have in mind, but the media – or the former fans in their younger years – still couldn’t help but speculate. It’s one of the best things to do at this moment.
There is also a new series to start on September 12. Former “Kenan & Kel” star, Kel Mitchell, will have a rold in the upcoming show, “Game Shakers.” This might mean the revamp is in the works. We just have to settle down and wait for things to unfold.
Rugrats is an animated show, which features children named Tommy, Chuckie, the twins Phil and Lil, and the beloved older child, Angelica, in their adventures into the world. The success of the series was followed by a movie, The Rugrats Movie, which features Tommy’s new little brother, Dil.
