“Warm Bodies” actor Nicholas Hoult, who also starred in recently released movie “Equals” with Kristen Stewart, got a marriage proposal from a Filipina fan during the AsiaPop ComiCon Manila 2016.
The 26-year-old English actor got a marriage certificate from an avid fan in one of the meet-and-greet sessions during the three-day event held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Philippines over the weekend.
Nicholas Hoult Married?
The girl, identified by her friend on Sunday as Joyce Lara, was only joking. But was she, really? When Lara’s friend reminded Hoult about the so-called marriage between the two, the “Jack and the Beanstalk” actor gamely responded in the affirmative.
“Yes, we were married and I already got the certificate,” Hoult jested. “It’s already happening. It’s official.”
Hoult was in Manila for the ComiCon 2016. The actor already amassed a great number of fans.
New Roles, New Opportunities
Hoult has proven his caliber as an actor for his portrayals in different roles in all kinds of genres. He said during a brief panel interview with local and foreign press that trying to do varied roles is his aim as an actor.
Hoult added that, like fans and ordinary people, he, too, would get bored seeing the same things in film. This is why he makes it a point to to reinvent himself in all aspects to bring out the best in every character he portrays.
Aside from Hoult, one of the guests of this year’s Pop Asia ComiCon was “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown.
