A story of a mystery man who wrestled with the suspect in the deadly Nice attack is currently doing the rounds online.

Sources say that without the man’s bravery, the suspect who drove the truck into a crowd of people attending the annual Bastille Day, could have caused more devastation. The man, whose identity remained a mystery, climbed onto the vehicle and wrestled with the suspect, the Independent reported.

The report indicated that the identified attacker, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, could have caused more devastation in the kilometer-stretch of the lorry if not because of the man. At least 84 individuals have so far died from the incident, which according to police authorities was an act of terrorism.

Several eyewitnesses also saw the man who reportedly wrestled with the suspect. According to eyewitness accounts, the man braved to stop the suspect and helped the police in neutralizing the suspect.
