Two NFL coaches could find themselves in boiling water if their respective teams don’t start performing up to par. The two coaches in mention are Bruce Arians of the Arizona Cardinals and John Fox of the Chicago Bears.
Bruce Arians is a former coach of the year so it seems odd to put him in the hot seat. While the Cardinals haven’t racked up an impressive record so far, it seems unfair to pin the blame on him alone.
Bruce Arians job on the balance?
There are a lot of factors to consider for Arians despite the fact that Cardinals management wants to see progress. But losing to a team like the Buffalo Bills (33-18) last time out may be a cause for alarm. This is largely due to the fact that the Bills seem to be going through the season via rebuilding fashion, Fansided reported.
That said, the loss to the Bills comes a bit of a surprise especially because Arians has been known to be a good coach. At 1-2, Arizona cannot afford to take another loss since all a possibly playoff spot may just be impossible to reach.
John Fox Still Swinging
Over in Chicago, the case of John Fox is forced to put his coaching genius to work with the Bears dealing with injuries to several key players. Jay Cutler and Jeremy Langford will be out of commission for now which means open season for the anyone playing the Bears, Fansided reported.
Hence, Fox is pressured to come up with something to at least perform at a credible level. The Bears’ fortunes cannot be entirely blamed on him but it also places forces him to become creative and resourceful.
The Bears face the Detroit Lions next. The Lions are seen more as a team they can handle but with an undermanned lineup, Fox will need to work double-time to register a W.
