“Game of Thrones” episode 9 is going to be the biggest, and longest, battle in the show’s history.
The “Battle of the Bastards” will decide who will rule the north and in turn bear the responsibility of preparing for the coming onslaught of the White Walkers so feast your eyes at the awesome shots from the episode.
Comingsoon has revealed 8 new stills from the episode 9 showing how scenes from the Second Battle of Winterfell. Also known as the “Battle of the Bastards” due to the both leaders being illegitimate children of northern lords, the results of the battle will greatly affect the Seven Kingdoms.
With the White Walkers already making their move, Jon Snow needs Winterfell if he plans to mount any effective defense against them. He must also unite the entire north which cannot happen as long as the Boltons are in power.
Additionally, Ramsay Bolton demands the return of Sansa Stark his wife. Failure to do so entails dire consequences. In essence, Jon Snow is not only fighting to preserve the realm but also for survival in “Game of Thrones” episode 9.
Unfortunately, the odds are not in their favor as two other powerful houses, the Umbers, and the Karstarks have aligned with the Boltons. Jon only managed to scrounge up a meager force to add to his wildling volunteers.
Sansa, on the other hand, chose to rely on a letter, possibly sent to Littlefinger, with a request for aid. Should the Knights of the Vale join the battle the tide will definitely shift in the Stark’s favor as the Knights of the Vale not only outnumber the Bolton host but are also better equipped.
