The wait for a Final fantasy XII HD version is over. As E3 is just around the corner, expecting big reveals from the gaming industry before the conference is unusual. But that didn’t stop Square Enix from revealing something BIG.

Final Fantasy XII trailer reveals next-gen graphics

Earlier today, the studio released the initial trailer of a remastered Final Fantasy XII. According to Kotaku, the game has been titled The Zodiac Age and has been confirmed to release in Japan. Furthermore, the studio revealed that western regions can expect the game to hit the market in 2017 for the PS4.

The initial trailer contains cinematic glimpses of the environment and gameplay, which is still breathtaking after all these years. Moreover, according to IGN, the game will include “newly recorded background music” aside from the remodelling of characters. Neither cheats nor weapon lists have been revealed for Final Fantasy XII for the PS4.

Some fans may wonder why Square Enix decided to reveal the trailer before E3. Take note that it was confirmed that the company also has a booth at E3 for fans to get their first look at Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.
