Since then, fans have been speculating that the Man of Steel will be shown with a beard, long hair and a black suit in the “Justice League” movie. The rumor gained traction as the theory was compared to the incident that occurred in “Superman: Doomsday” animated movie.
In “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” The Man of Steel dies heroically fighting Doomsday. This concept was earlier shown in Superman: Doomsday movie as well.
In the DC Entertainment movie, Superman wears a black suit after his awakening to recover from his battle with Doomsday. It was speculated by fans that a similar event will occur in the first act of “Justice League” movie.
Adding to the speculation, Henry Cavill also shared an image teasing the black suit on his official Instagram account. While it seems likely that the actor will be shown wearing the new suit, the recent featurette clip says otherwise.
In the video at 0:38, Henry Cavill is seen wearing his normal Superman suit worn previously in “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” But the footage did not contain any scene revealing Henry Cavill in the black suit.
Fans in Reddit have also been discussing the missing black suit from the “Justice League” featurette. However, some fans on social media believe that it will be revealed in the initial trailer.
It has already been revealed that Batman will be wearing two suits in “Justice League.” Earlier on Batman Day, Director Zack Snyder himself shared the new tactical suit image.
