During the last episode of “NCIS,” the farmhouse Ziva David was supposedly staying in was blown up, and nobody knows if the former special agent was staying inside when the attack happened. Now, NCIS Special Agent Tony DiNozzo admits he’s “a wreck.”
DiNozzo’s worry about Ziva is so overwhelming that he declares, “I can’t stay here.” In the latest sneak previews offered by the show, Gibbs agrees with him. Tony says, “If that’s Ziva, I ‘gotta go.” To which Gibbs answers, “We know that. McGee, get him a plane.”
It turns out that McGee, anticipating that Tony would want to fly to Tel Aviv right away, has already booked Tony a flight to Israel. He’ll be leaving in four hours.
In another preview, DiNozzo Sr. (played by Robert Wagner) is trying to make his son feel better as he gets packing for his flight. He even tells Tony that he has this “feeling.” To which Tony responds, “Feeling that she’s still alive? So do I. but I don’t know that she’s still alive and nobody knows anything, so what’s the point in feeling anything at all?” Needless to say, Tony won’t be getting any sleep until he finds Ziva.
When asked if Ziva died from the explosion, actor Michael Weatherly simply answered during an interview with Deadline, “I think the audience will feel very strongly that she’s in the episode in a way that might be a little Shakespearean but it’s real.”
And when pressed if by “Shakespearean,” he meant dead, the actor said, “I think it’s more than that, a lot more. I would almost say you’re going to finish the episode and then go back and watch it again.”
Nonetheless, Weatherly also cautioned that fans should “bring a box of whatever you need, bring a change of clothing” while watching the “NCIS” season 13 finale. He also warned, “You might not be able to go to work the next day.”
When “NCIS” returns, the manhunt will now focus on Trent Kort. who has been behind the killing of former NCIS Director and Homeland Director Tom Morrow as well as former MI6 Chief Jessica Terdei. The former CIA agent had also tried to kill FBI agent Fornell while attempting to frame everything on former MI6 agent Jacob Scott.
Scott had since explained to Gibbs that he was only looking for Ziva as she holds files that can prove his innocence. Kort rushed to Israel after finding out and supposedly blew up the farmhouse where everyone believes Ziva had been currently staying.
It remains to be seen if Tony will be able to find Ziva. And if it does, would Kort try to kill both of them too? More importantly, will Kort succeed?
The “NCIS” finale will air on May 17, Tuesday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
