It can be recalled that in the previous season of the CBS show, Special Agent Meredith Brody, played by Zoe McLellan, left the team after she fell in love with Russo. The agent believes that her personal life might compromise her position in the team, thus she decided to leave.
In “NCIS: New Orleans” last season, it was revealed that her boyfriend and Homeland Security John Russo, played by Ivan Sergei was a mole. This also resulted for a follow-up investigation causing Pride, played by Scott Bakula, along with his team, to go rogue.
Special Agent Meredith Brody’s leaving the team also paved the way for FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito), to start an investigation. Tammy also worked with Pride (Scott Bakula) following an event where sniper targeted a crowded place in the city.
Though there are still no confirmation if Special Agent Meredith Brody will come back in the “NCIS: New Orleans” show, executive producer Christopher Silber has hinted the things fans could expect in the season 3.
The producer revealed to Parade that they are starting “NCIS: New Orleans” season 3 with the idea of having each episode as its own movie.
“We thought we’d start with New Orleans being in danger,” he said. There’s a sniper out there, who we have to stop.”
Moreover, Silber said the next episode will be more fun, with Tom Arnold leading the storyline.
“He’s playing someone from Pride’s past, who is a fugitive on the run that Pride has to find,” he added. “So that episode has a more humorous tone to it. We’re trying to expand in those ways.”
