NBA Trade Rumors: Richaun Holmes Agrees To Sign For 76ers On Multi-Year Deal
Second round pick of the 76ers, Richaun Holmes has agreed to sign with Philadelphia on a multi-year rookie deal on Wednesday, according to sources.
During the NBA draft in June, Holmes was the 37th overall pick by the 76ers. The youngster essayed a rapid rise in the pre-draft process. The first two years of the deal will be guaranteed, sources revealed.
Holmes, Stats And Status
In Las Vegas, Holmes posted 29 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks and three steals in 56 total minutes in three games. But the 6-foot-10 forward sustained an elbow fracture that ruled him out the rest of the tournament. Holmes, though, returned to finish the game in which he picked up the injury.
The 21-year-old Holmes has made significant strides after recovering from the broken elbow and is expected to be fully fit prior to the 76ers’ training camp. The entire recovery time is projected to be around 6-8 weeks.
In his senior season at Bowling Green, Holmes averaged 14.8 points and eight rebounds in his senior season.
