For Pau Gasol, basketball life could be coming back a full circle. Gasol, drafted third overall by Memphis Grizzlies in 2001, could be united with brother Marc Gasol, according to latest NBA Trade Rumors.

Gasol was traded to Los Angeles Lakers in 2008. By returning to Memphis, the Spanish icon would get the perfect opportunity to finish his career at his American home. The Gasol family moved to the Memphis suburb of Germantown, Tennessee, after Pau was drafted by the Grizzlies. In fact, Marc Gasol re-signed in free agency because he intends to finish his career in Memphis.

Zach Randolph to Chicago Bulls?

According to several sources, the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies are working on a trade that would send Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson to Memphis for the pair of Zach Randolph and Jeff Green. According to ESPN’s Trade Machine, the blockbuster move can be worked out since the salaries match. More importantly, it would give the Gasol brothers an opportunity to form a formidable front court for the sixth-seeded Grizzlies.

Ever since the start of the new season, the Grizzlies have been trying to find a suitor for Randolph. Also, Jeff Green is expected to opt out in free agency next year and expected to pursue other teams. Therefore, it would be the perfect scenario for Grizzlies to get rid of Randolph and Green.

With Mike Dunleavy’s injury and Tony Snell’s inconsistent form, the Bulls are desperate for a wing that could help Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose. Jeff Green would be the perfect addition in Chicago. Randolph would bring a lot of value to Bulls’ low post scoring and rebounding.

A front court pairing of Randolph and Joakim Noah would bring Bulls back to the physical play they were renowned for, under the leadership of Tom Thibodeau. Bulls fans have been disappointed with the current pairing of Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic – who have failed to defend the paint with efficiency.

The Gasol brothers created history last season when they became the first pair of siblings to start an All-Star game. While Marc was the starting Center for the West, Pau Gasol started for the East. The Gasol brothers have represented Span at numerous international events, including the Olympics, and can complement each other and help Grizzlies return to the powerhouse status they once enjoyed.
