NBA Trade Rumors: Kings Considering To Trade Off DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo?
The Sacramento Kings didn’t fire head coach George Karl. But the DeMarcus Cousins riddle remains unsolved. The atmosphere within the Kings locker room is poisonous, according to sources with inside knowledge. In these circumstances, will the Kings trade off DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo?Advertisement
The epicenter of problems within the Kings camp revolves round All-Star big-man DeMarcus Cousins. If George Karl finally manages to escape firing, the Kings may look to trade off their most talented performer as well as a “disobedient” man of the roster, DeMarcus Cousins, who has struggled to control his attitude and emotions, reports Sporting News.
Despite all the controversial issues, his talent draws plenty of trade values. GM Vlade Divac and owner Vivek Ranadive will only trade Cousins if they receive a mega offer before the February 18 deadline. After the All-Star break in March, the team may start the spadework to retain Cousins or trade him off during the off-season.
Chad Ford of ABC News and ESPN reports a blockbuster trade involving the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings. The Hawks are looking to trade off their veteran core comprising of Al Horford, Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague, as reported by the Morning News USA on Thursday. The Celtics are eyeing a big name to become the contender. They may send Evan Turner, James Young and Kelly Olynyk along with a first-round pick to the Hawks and the Nets’ 2016 first-round pick to the Kings. The Hawks send Korver, Horford and Teague to Kings camp, and the Kings move DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo to Boston.
As of now, the deal is mere speculation. But it may materialize if the three teams converge. There is a common point in the proposal that could trigger the trade: gain.
