What's This?

Kevin Love was heavily criticized for his performance against the Golden State Warriors Monday night. Love finished with 3 points and 6 rebounds as the Cleveland Cavaliers got blown out 132-98. According to latest NBA trade rumors, Love could be on his way out.

It’s no secret that Love and LeBron James haven’t shared a very harmonious relationship. Last season, Lebron called out Love over a tweet, indicating the power forward needed to step up his game.

After Love signed a 5-year $113 million contract over the off-season, LeBron went out of his way to say that Love will enjoy a bigger role with the team this year.

Thus far, that hasn’t happened. Love is still just a role player trying to find his rhythm in the ISO-centric offense orchestrated by LeBron and Kyrie Irving.

Love, the former UCLA product, is averaging 12.4 points on 37 percent shooting ever since Irving returned from injury. However, without Irving in the lineup, Love’s numbers improve to 17.6 points on 43 per cent shooting. Clearly, Love is unable to find his own feet in David Blatt’s offense.

Finger pointing…

After the humiliating defeat to Warriors last night, Love pointed some of the blame on LeBron. ‘”We have a lot of things to get better at,” said the All-Star forward. “That’s going to take a lot of guys looking themselves in the mirror and it all starts with our leader (James) over there and dwindles on down,” Love said while pointing towards LeBron, per

Fox Sports conducted a poll earlier today, asking Cavs fans if Kevin Love should be traded before the February 18 deadline. More than 53% of the voters wanted Cavs to pull the trigger. Around 15% of the voters felt that Love should be traded at the completion of the ongoing season.

ESPN’s Stephen A Smith revealed on Mike & Mike earlier today that the Cavaliers were on the brink of shaking things up. “I’m hearing that something big has to happen. Either Kevin Love gets traded or David Blatt (the coach) gets fired. But something or someone’s got to go. Because this current situation isn’t working for Cleveland. They sure as hell aren’t beating Golden State or San Antonio.”

If Cleveland do trade Kevin Love, there are a number of possibilities. Could Carmelo Anthony be united with his friend LeBron James? Or will Cleveland settle for Joe Johnson?
