Dwyane Wade wants to settle as fast as possible with Miami Heat in free agency. Wade isn’t seeking offers from other teams as of now.
Miami Heat and veteran Wade had a prolonged negotiation last season before a one-year deal was ratified for $20 million. This time, Wade wants to wrap up a deal as early as possible with Miami, without the drama of last season. He is not interested in testing his market in free agency, reports Miami Herald.
“The whole free agency thing, I didn’t want to be in it last summer; I don’t want to be in it this summer,” he said, according to Real GM. “I don’t want to be on the market at all…. I’m not curious at all. I want to get to it with the Heat. I want to be able to sign my deal and move on and not have to deal with any rumors, any free agency, any this, any that. This is where I want to end my career. So we’ll figure it out.”
The Heat cannot exceed the cap to sign the veteran.
