Are the Chicago Bulls looking for a blockbuster trade to land Blake Griffin? The Bulls are very much in contention for the top four spots in the Eastern Conference despite an injury-ridden roster.
Jimmy Butler is the new leader at Chicago Bulls who rose to the stature of a perennial All-Star. Butler combined with a resurgent Derrick Rose to form an explosive back-court duo to lead the Bulls to a respectable position.
Now, team management is eyeing for more glory rather than only making it to the playoffs. Injured Joakim Noah will be a free agent at the end of this season. Pau Gasol is aging, too. To become a championship contender, the Bulls need to start making moves now.
As per Sportsrageous, Blake Griffin can be targeted in exchange of Taj Gibson and Pau Gasol. Clippers front-court depth will increase after this trade, as Pau Gasol can partner with DeAndre Jordan. If Jordan-Gibson starts, Gasol can come off the bench. The Spaniard can also teach Jordan how to hit some free throws. But the Los Angeles Clippers only eye Kevin Durant in exchange of the 26-year-old All-Star. Doc Rivers won’t be spared by his bosses if he trades Griffin to Bulls.
The Bulls could send Derrick Rose to the Brooklyn Nets to land Joe Johnson, according to Bradford Doolittle, ESPN writer. But would the Bulls trade Rose for a guy who’s well past his prime? It seems unlikely.
Injured Noah could be traded off to the Los Angeles Lakers for Roy Hibbert. Both teams will agree to this trade, as Hibbert appeared unmotivated at Lakers.
