Al Horford will be landing in Boston Celtics if Atlanta Hawks trade him before the deadline. Horford will turn 30 this coming June.
The Atlanta Hawks are considering to trade off their veteran core comprising Horford, Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver. The Cavs have already considered Korver as their “dream target,” as reported by the Morning News USA on Wednesday.
Horford, too, draws interest from several teams. He is in the final year of a five-year, $60 million deal with Atlanta, reports Real GM. Horford eyes to sign another five-year deal, and the Celtics could provide him with that. Boston Celtics were keen to sign the star center. Horford is currently in his fourth All-Star season. His talent and versatility make him a perfect fit for the Celtics, according to Masslive.com.
Horford will hit free agency at the end of this season, and the Celtics would love adding a difference-maker like him to their roster.
“For me, I ask for guidance but at the end of the day I understand the business of everything,” Horford said about rumors surrounding him in the trade mill during the All-Star weekend. “I know how everything works. For me, I need to stay diligent, keep doing what I do and whatever happens, happens.”
