What's This?

Will Dwight Howard land in Brooklyn Nets? The Nets are desperate to trade superstar center Howard from the Rockets. Houston Rockets will then gain Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson.

Howard wants to start fresh in a new team. Both Johnson and Dwight Howard have expiring contracts which make the trades favorable. The Nets will have a lot of cap-space to recruit Howard. Moreover, Brooklyn is going to miss the playoffs this season, so the franchise’s key focus is to rebuild the team for the next season. Howard is their top priority in this regard.

The Rockets, on the other hand, have fallen from grace this season. It’s hard to predict whether star center  Brook Lopez or small forward Johnson can bail them out and make them a contender for the NBA finals.

Howard is unhappy at Houston, and Brooklyn wants to start fresh, so the proposed trade is very much on the cards. The evenly poised deal would send $44.6 million in 2015-16 salary to Houston and $43 million to Brooklyn.
