Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers are set to go all-out to trade for DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins is now considered as the finest big man of NBA, ahead of Dwight Howard.
The greatest player involved in trade discussions so far is the Kings’ center DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins doesn’t gel well with Sacramento headcoach Gorge Karl.
The Kings are 10-15 this season, so Cousins’ presence isn’t leading them to win games night after night. And they have never made the playoffs with Cousins till date. So, the Kings management is going to trade off Cousins.
Here the Bulls come in this trade. Pau Gasol has already clarified that he’ll be testing the free agency market. So Chicago is interested in acquiring Cousins this very season before the trade deadlines. Another reason is Joakim Noah’s off-form. Roping in the Kings center would be a terrific trade for the Bulls.
But the Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most determined teams to sign the 6-feet-11 inches center. The Lakers had a dismal run so far this season and are looking to boost their roster. They don’t have an elite center, and as Kobe Bryant retires, a lot of salary space will open up.
The Dwight Howard experiment failed at Los Angeles, but Cousins is young and much more gifted at the offensive end. Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic are also interested in Cousins.
