The Chicago Bulls are going to chase All-Star DeMarcus Cousins. The Bulls management is going to face stiff competition on the trade market to acquire Cousins.
Apart from the Bulls, the Miami Heat, LA Lakers, and Boston Celtics will plunge into trade waters to net the big fish, Cousins. The Bulls are eager to deal with the Sacramento Kings earliest to rope in the power forward. The Kings now have the third-worst record in the West, after struggling throughout the season to post 9-15. The team has struggled in the past few seasons, too.
All-Star Cousins has been in the center of trade rumors throughout this phase. The power forward is the only silver lining in the Kings’ camp. This season, he averages 25.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Cousins’ field goal percentage has dipped to just 42.1 percent, but the double-double he registers on a regular basis sparked interest in many franchises.
So Cousins is definitely a hotcake in the trade market. And the Bulls are going to the wire to rope him. There will be difficulty trading with the Kings on the Bulls’ behalf. The trade could see Pau Gasol returning to Sacramento.
The Kings might eye Jimmy Butler, the player Chicago wants to retain at any cost.
