The Sacramento Kings agreed with Caron Butler that they would trade him to a team that provides the player a larger role a couple of weeks earlier. The Milwaukee Bucks were eager to sign him, but recently they have put the trade on hold.
Butler, originally from Wisconsin, signed with the Sacramento Kings last summer but only featured in 9.6 minutes per game. He averages a career-low 2.7 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists.
“Sacramento remains committed to trading Caron Butler, but word is Bucks, as of now, are leaning against a deal for vet F,” tweeted Marc Stein from ESPN.
Butler is a likely fit for the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are the home team for the native of Racine. The 35-year-old veteran forward is eyeing more playing minutes, but his performance with the Kings didn’t draw much trade interest. Now, with the Bucks putting him on hold, Caron Butler’s future is in jeopardy.
