NBA Rumors: People Can’t Handle Kobe Bryant, Says Jordan Hill
Jordan Hill’s tenure at Los Angeles Lakers came to an end as the team opted out of his team option during free agency. Finally, the former Lakers forward signed for the Indiana Pacers and met the media for the first time on Tuesday afternoon as a Pacer.
Hill revealed his experience of playing with ace star Kobe Bryant. Hill categorically mentioned Bryant’s floor presence, his constant yelling on the court and mentioned not all are capable of coping with it.
“When he’s on the floor, all you hear is Kobe’s mouth. On the floor, all you hear is Kobe’s mouth. During practice, it gets loud. A lot of people can’t handle that I guess,” he said.
Hill spent the better part of the last 4 seasons with the Lakers, and certainly has a fair amount of inside view of Bryant’s on-court nature and behavior.
Bryant is viewed as one of the toughest teammate to part with in the NBA circuit. Many co-players found it hard to meet the high demands of Bryant, who expects similar commitments and efforts consistently put in by him from others. Some free agents refuse to come to Lakers due to this, while others like Lou Williams saw this as a golden opportunity to play with the greatest contemporary player.
Bryant will be entering the final year of his contract and faces an uncertain future. The Lakers have picked up a much younger roster and performance during the Las Vegas Summer League.
