NBA Rumors: Jahlil Okafor Trade ‘Most Likely’ For Celtics, Rockets Letting Jason Terry Walk Away
The Boston Celtics continue to look for potential additions to the roster and one feasible option they may end up with is Jahlil Okafor, recent NBA rumors revealed.Advertisement
The sophomore is seen by many as a good complement to their biggest free agent catch – Al Horford – though it remains to be seen who can they dangle to the Philadelphia 76ers. Okafor is continuously being mentioned in NBA rumors after it was confirmed that the 76ers are open to moving one of their bigs.
Okafor Deal Not A Closed Book
The problem now though is who the Celtics can offer. The team doesn’t have a player that could interest the Sixers unless Billy Colangelo is fine with future draft picks in exchange for the third overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.
If the Sixers want someone they can use in exchange for Okafor, a third team could enter the scene. That team is likely to be one with excess talent and looking for options in the coming years.
Rockets Parting With Jason terry
Moving over to the Western Conference, veteran guard Jason Terry will be looking for a new home, following reports that the Houston Rockets don’t intend to bring him back next season. It was Terry himself who revealed the development, the Bleacher Report reported.
Jason Terry just confirmed to us on @SiriusXMNBA he was notified by the Rockets a few days ago he will not be brought back to Houston.

At 39, Terry faces a dim future unless he finds a team that is in need of an experience playmaker. Though he is at the point where he can retire from pro ball, Terry made it clear via Star-Telegram that he still wants to play a year or two.
While critics believe that Terry could be a good add to any team, the fact is that most teams are opting for younger legs. He could land a job as a reliever though all that remains to be seen.
