“I have nothing but love” for Dallas Mavericks, revealed Rajon Rondo on Tuesday night. Rondo returned to the American Airlines Center for the first time since his ugly breakup with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavs made a huge trade for Rondo in December 2014, roping him in as a key-man to boost their roster. But Rando and coach Rick Carlisle clashed continuously till Rando was finally benched during game two against the Houston Rockets. Rando left Dallas the day after. Rondo was also accused of an undisclosed back injury, which was hampering his performance.
He returned as an All-Star in the Sacramento Kings side and revealed his thoughts on the Dallas Mavs’ in an interview with the ESPN.
“Every relationship doesn’t work. It just didn’t work. No excuses, no pointing the finger at anybody. It made me stronger, made me appreciate just playing the game, especially playing at a high level. I never doubted myself. It just didn’t work.”
“And yeah, my back was hurting,” he pointed out. Rajon Rondo will be playing on Tuesday night against the Mavs.
