Earlier, LeBron James revealed that he had no clue regarding the firing of head coach David Blatt. James pointed out that he did suggest that a change could improve things.

James and other Cavs’ players were not satisfied with Blatt’s strategy, and his relationship with James and other stars worsened over time. Blatt joined the Cavaliers despite having never coached any NBA team, but he had a very strong international coaching career.

“Our main concern is how we get better,” James said on Sunday. “It’s more than wins and losses, like I told you guys before. You guys get so caught up in the wins and losses and I tell you everyday it’s not about the wins and losses, it’s how we play. It’s how we prepare ourselves everyday. You guys asked me early on why I was so frustrated. You guys asked me you guys won seven in a row, why you don’t feel happy. I tell you guys and for something like this to happen, now you guys understand what I was meaning.”

Tyronn Lue signed a multi-year contract as Cavs’ new head coach. James welcomed Lue in Cleveland. Lue is a former point guard of the league.

“We’ve been friends since I was 17 years old,” James opined on Lue. “But it ended today. … He’s still the coach and I’m underneath him.”
