After suffering some injury setbacks this pre-season, The Charlotte Hornets are banking on Jeremy Lin’s return to form. More silver lining for the Hornets’ fans, Lin has managed to build up a lethal combination with point-guard Kemba Walker in the back-court.
Jeremy Lin‘s form in this pre-season guided the Hornets to an undefeated streak in the exhibition games. They won their last 94-86 outing against Chicago. Lin is optimistic about his combination with point-guard Kemba Walker.
“I’m optimistic because I think I’ve put in the work and I’m a better player. I also think Coach Steve Clifford understands my game at a different level and hopefully will empower me to do the different things that I feel like I’m capable of doing,” Lin said.
Lin is considered as the back-up man for the team, but he has lifted his scoring to 15.3 points per game in this pre-season. Lin also revealed that apart from working hard to lift his own game, he has also concentrated to develop an on-court chemistry with fellow point-guard Kemba Walker. Lin thinks, their combination is bound to become a force to reckon with in the coming NBA season. Walker too sounded confident about his cerebral on-court connection with Lin.
“It takes a lot of pressure off me. I don’t always have to go back for the basketball every time. When he’s out there, he’s helping me with the pace, with the tempo. He’s very unselfish and he can score the basketball very well. So that’s fun,” Kemba said of Lin.
