Fresh from a Christmas win in a low-scoring thriller against finalists Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors have suffered a jolt. They will miss MVP Stephen Curry in the next two outings during their Texas trip.
Curry hurt his leg during the win on Monday against the Sacramento Kings. The Warriors think-tank are considering to rest Curry in the coming couple of games, as revealed by coach Luke Walton on Tuesday. Walton also hinted that Curry would be a game-time decision in Dallas.
Curry skipped practice sessions on Tuesday, putting question marks over his playing against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. The MVP was seen limping on the court with an ailing lower left leg in the later stages of the game on Monday.
Shaun Livingston is likely to get more playing minutes in the next two games. The team’s other point guard Leandro Barbosa is also injured. He is currently nursing a left shoulder injury and was also left out of the Dallas trip.
