The Golden State Warriors are going through a dream run this season. And who is the Golden State’s current MVP? Is it Stephen Curry, the Most Valuable Player of last edition’s league? No, it’s forward Draymond Green.
He won an off-court bet against friend LeBron James months ago. Now, vintage Draymond Green is leading the Warriors to win game after game on the court. He posted a spectacular show to guide the Warriors and avenge their first loss of the season Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors won 128-103 convincingly.
Green became the fifth player in Warriors history to commit to a triple-double along with five steals. Among the other four, one is the League’s defending MVP, the other two are in the Hall of Fame.
This is Green’s second triple-double against the Phoenix this season. All-Star Klay Thompson posted a 43-point show in the first three quarters to rout the Suns. The second pair to post a 40-pointer show with a triple-double in the past 20 NBA’s. The other pair was OKC’s Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
