NBA Controversy: Houston Rockets Guard Ty Lawson Hits Back At Nuggets Owner And GM
His play at Denver Nuggets was criticized bitterly. Houston Rockets star Ty Lawson has hit back publicly at his critics. In his post in Instagram, Lawson has revealed a piece of his mind.
During his struggles with alcohol, Tim Connolly and Josh Kroenke were publicly supportive of Lawson. Still, Lawson chose to spew venom at them on social media sparking controversy.
Shannon Dizmang said that Lawson is “a disappointment here in Denver.”
Lawson responded hitting at Conelly and Kroenke in Instagram, saying, “lol I wasn’t a disappointment…. I did my job.. Tim Conelly and the kroenke are bad owners and gm’s.”
Point guard Lawson joined Rockets this season in offseason trade. Such public response directed at any individual isn’t new from Rockets’ new point guard. He has sparked controversy before by such swipes in public forums.
The unfortunate thing is that this follows Lawson’s multiple DUI arrests and social media controversies earlier this season. The Houston Rockets’ management may sit with him to discuss the entire issue, as it could take a toll on his game. One must remember he has criticized these two players publicly, despite being provided with a number of opportunities when the tides were against him.
