NBA 2K17 has officially arrived on mobile devices. The smartphone version of 2K Sports’ latest basketball simulator is now available for both Android and iOS users.
The software content costs $8 and uses a whopping 3GB of storage space. Its file size could be problematic for owners of 16GB iPhones and iPads.
According to Gotta Be Mobile, NBA 2K17 for mobile will work on iOS 9 and an iPhone 5s or older. Its cover charge is inclusive of in-app purchases. Those who buy the game app gets to enjoy its full uninterrupted glory.
Players can earn Virtual Currency, work on their in-game strategies or check on their endorsement deals while on the go. NBA 2K17 for mobile features an improved badge system, revamped controls and support for a physical controller.
Phone Arena reported that longtime fans of the NBA 2K series will notice enhanced dribbling and shooting mechanics. Players will have more control over their crossover combos. Jump shots will be much smoother and easier to time.
NBA 2K17 for mobile also includes MyCareer. The game mode lets players create, customize and upgrade their video game likeness.
Classic teams as well as the American men’s national basketball team will be playable in the game. Players will have the option to play with historic NBA legends. They can also hold tournaments with EuroLeague teams.
It’s worth noting that the PC and console version of the game features all EuroLeague teams, the first in the NBA 2K series. Players get to control ball clubs like ALBA Berlin, CSKA Moscow, FC Bayern Munich, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, Real Madrid and Unicaja Malaga.
