There will be two Can-Am duels throughout Thursday night that will determine which drivers will take up spots three to 32 for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup season-opener race. Both will have 60 laps and cover 150 miles of track. Meanwhile, rookie Chase Elliott has already secured his pole position for Sunday, on board the No. 24 Chevrolet while Matt Kenseth has also already secured the second spot from qualifying.
Danica Patrick Goes Undercover As A Lyft Driver
Before going out to the track for the duels though, race car driver Danica Patrick stepped out for awhile to get a behind the wheel of a Lyft car, taking on a brief stint as an undercover driver. Of the experience, Patrick said she “had a blast working with Lyft and surprising a few passengers!”
Patrick went in as an undercover Lyft driver in Charlotte, North Carolina, picking up unsuspecting passengers as she chatted about how she likes to drive. At the same time, she also tried to engage in a little street race with other cars that had stopped in front of the traffic light.
In the end, Patrick’s passengers were surprised and happy to discover that it was her behind wheel. They ended the experience taking selfies with the famous race car driver.
