Mirjana Puhar Of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Killed In Triple Homicide
Mirjana Puhar, a contestant from the 21st cycle of “America’s Next Top Model” hosted by Tyra Banks, was killed on Tuesday in a triple homicide, TMZ reported. The incident took place in her boyfriend’s house located in Charlotte, N.C.
Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 19, was arrested for murdering Puhar, 19, her boyfriend Jonathan Alvarado, 23, and Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia, 21.
The police said the victims were acquainted with Rengel, pointing towards a non-random and possibly drug-related confrontation.
TMZ states that the incident occurred in the residence of roommates Alvarado and Gonzaga-Garcia, who were supposedly roommates.
Reports of gunshots from inside the house initiated calls for the police. A friend supposedly found the body of Puhar and the second victim, while the third was found after police arrived.
During the 21st cycle of “ANTM” last year, Puhar was eliminated on the tenth episode. Fellow contestants had expressed their sadness over the death of the “ANTM” alum.
On Wednesday evening, Tyra Banks and Ken Mok, executive producers of the show, released a joint statement. Both are “deeply saddened” by Puhar’s death. “She was a vivacious and promising young woman. Our hearts and prayers go out to her loved ones,” they said.
