What's This?

Virtual Reality headset is the new platform for the game developers. Even though the VR headsets are not common yet, they are being adopted faster than any other technology. As companies are working on and slowly releasing content for virtual reality, the existing popular games are also releasing their VR versions. One of them is Minecraft virtual reality version.

Minecraft virtual reality game has been launched by Facebook-owned Oculus VR. The game is now available at the Oculus Store for $6.99. Mark Zuckerberg took to the social media platform to announce the launch of the game. On the other hand, the release was also announced via Oculus Rift’s official blog. While Zuckerberg on his timeline added Minecraft’s video with a “Minecraft in virtual reality launching today!” post, Oculus shared John Carmack’s thoughts about why is Minecraft virtual reality game is something to be excited about. Here is what he has to say about the game coming to Samsung Gear VR:

Minecraft is a game that you can both figuratively and literally lose yourself in. In fact, my strongest memories of being inside VR are from the time I’ve spent exploring Minecraft on Gear VR. Experiencing it in virtual reality changes it from an abstract activity to a visceral one – it goes from a sense of playing the game to one of being inside your world, and spinning around to find a creeper sneaking up on you leaves a powerful impression. Infinite worlds have been explored, shaped, and shared by millions of people, and now in VR; that sounds a bit like the fabled Metaverse.”

Minecraft virtual reality game on Samsung Gear VR will support all the features of the game’s pocket edition. This includes –
