“I.. just.. I can’t believe it! They’re cancelling an amazing show JUST because I decided to finally be healthy,” she was quoted saying. “It makes no sense! They said I no longer fit the part, which is outrageous.”

According to Snopes report however, this quote came from a fake TMZ report. Snopes claimed the article is an advertorial article disguised as a gossip news from the reputable site.

The fake news even elaborated their claims by saying Melissa McCarthy used Garcinia pills. Allegedly,  the pills made her shed off the weight so fast, as evidenced by her appearace in Ghostbusters.

While it was confirmed that “Mike & Molly” show was cancelled last December 2015, Melissa McCarthy’s weight loss was not the reason behind it.

“I was shocked and heartbroken when @CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly. I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I’ll miss my 2nd family,” Melissa McCarthyexpressed in a tweet, without pertaining to her weight loss.

CBS is reportedly ending the show after season 6, Los Angeles Times said.

As per Melissa McCarthy’s weight loss, a Shape report said that actress is having a high-protein and low-carb diet. A source dished out that she wanted to stay healthy for her kids and be a good example to fellow plus size women.
