“Surface Book” and “Surface Pro 4” customers have been complaining a lot about screen flickering issues. November updates rolled out by Microsoft have focused on fixing the problem. Read on for more details about the update.

Speaking of rolled-out November updates, both devices, Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 have received the same ones. There is only one extra update for Surface Book apart from the ones listed below.

  • HD graphics 520 driver update
  • Display audio driver update
  • Surface embedded controller firmware update
  • Surface pen settings driver update

How are these updates going to improve the Surface Book or the Surface Pro 4?

Whereas the first update would fix all display issues, including flickering screens, the second update would support compatibility with the HD Graphics 520 driver. The third update will improve system stability of both devices. Finally, the Surface Pen settings driver has also been updated. With this update, Microsoft has added support for the pen’s functionality on its latest operating system, “Windows 10.”

The additional update for Surface Book involves the Surface system aggregator firmware. The aim of this update is to improve the trackpad and keyboard. The company on its page has mentioned that the updates rolled out through the Windows Update Service will be delivered in stages. What does that mean? It means neither Surface Pro 4 nor Surface Book will get all November updates at once.
