What's This?

Just 2 days back we informed you about the first Windows 10 mobile update that Microsoft released and almost immediately got unpublished. The reason was installation issues. Now, we have updates.

There were some Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL users who successfully downloaded the update. But Microsoft decided to remove the update, work on it and then republish it for everyone.

If Microsoft’s decision to pull back the Windows 10 mobile update had disappointed you, now is the time to be happy. Yes the update is back and is available for download on Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Regarding the publishing, unpublishing, and then republishing the update on latest Lumia phones, a spokesperson of Microsoft in an email sent to ZDNet said, “After momentarily pausing the Windows 10 Mobile update due to an issue with the update server that impacted the installation of the update on a limited number of phones, we have addressed the issue and will begin rolling out the 10586.29 update again.”

Does the reworked update have absolutely no bugs? As Lumia users start downloading and using it, we will come to know how perfect this new mobile build is.

One issue that is currently outstanding (with no “official” word whether there will be an “official” fix or not) is the absence of Visual Voicemail for the dual SIM models Lumia 950 or 950XL. Both flagship models with dual SIM do not have them, which seems to be an impasse between Microsoft Developers and perhaps AT&T and T-Mobile. Either way for an organization that is targeting the “business market” having dual SIM, but no VVM is a bit of an oversight and having to use 3rd Party on a Phone from a software development giant seems a bit silly.

    Install worked great.
