A huge update is on its way to the Xbox One. As The Verge reports, an early look at the console’s new dashboard was provided on Monday.

The new dashboard of the Xbox One will focus on speed and update, and the biggest inclusion is Microsoft Cortana. The commands are much more powerful with as demonstrated by Microsoft.

Cortana will change how you knew your Xbox One. It will follow your command just instantly, and without lifting a finger, you will be able to invite one to chat or upload on your activity feed.

Cortana will be appearing at the top left of the screen and will work in the background while you are busy doing something else. Microsoft Kinect may be required to use Cortana but that’s not made clear by Microsoft yet.

Apart from the Cortana integration, one-click access is enabled in the device for sharing or achievements. When you double tap on the Xbox button on your controller, a new pane will slide out. The pane will give you quick access to messages, notifications, quick settings, friends and more.

The party chat option will get some modification with Cortana taking active part in it. The quick pane will also allow you to add or delete friends from the list.

It’s still not sure when Microsoft will be introducing its newly updated Xbox One. Once the Windows 10-enabled Xbox game streaming becomes available next month, you can expect the new update. Meanwhile Microsoft has announced the Xbox Elite controller for $149.99, to be available from October 2015.
