What's This?

Microsoft will be holding an event this coming October 10, 2016 though there is no clarity on whether one of the most anticipated devices, the Microsof Surface Pro 5, will be among the new products to be announced.

Apparently many are waiting for Microsoft to offer a new device in the mix, more so the Surface Pro 5 and probably a c. The upcoming Windows 10 Devices event should be the perfect occasion to do so though confirmation is still needed.

If not the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 or Surface Book 2, the least to expect are improvements made to the Surface Pro 4 or the Surface Book. Should that be the case, consumers are at least hoping to get some key announcements tied up to the next device iterations.

Speculations on the Surface Pro 5

The word out on the Surface Pro 5 is that it will cost more than its predecessor, which doesn’t come as a surprise. It will allegedly be $100 higher, which brings to mind the possible specs it may carry.

First up is the processor, which many believe will be the much-talked about Kaby Lake chips. It may all depend on the delivery schedules, something which Microsoft is hopefully blessed. Just in case, the Surface Pro 5 stands to benefit immensely.

With a Kaby Lake prorcessor, the Surface Pro 5 can help increase battery life and render better USB support. Apparently these are two flaws that the Surface Pro 4 brings, tied up to the Skylake chips.

Moving forward, having a Kaby Lake processor could improve the chances of seeing 4K display support. This means better chances of seeing UHD displays, which many are now hoping to see.

Other than that, it remains to be seen what else the Surface Pro 5 will have to offer. A more realistic scenario is to see a refreshed Surface Pro 4 and/or Surface Book to buy its successors some time.
