Microsoft has announced that the company is holding launch events for the release of the Day Zero edition of the upcoming and highly-acclaimed Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare at all 104 Microsoft stores around the country on November 2nd starting at 9pm.
Those who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare before November 3 will receive a $10 Microsoft Store gift card or $10 of credit on the Xbox Store. Additionally, Xbox Live Rewards members will receive an additional $5 totaling to $15 or 15,000 points. Microsoft is also giving those looking to upgrade to an Xbox One console a $50 discount in addition to the already competitive and active trade-in offers of up to $100 towards an Xbox One purchase. As this is a promotion in line with the launch of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the promotion applies to the special edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One console with the themed console unit and controller.
Among the 104 Microsoft stores holding launch events, ten of those will be holding more special events that will be bringing a “full military-style atmosphere” to the store. Some of these include a “Training
course” Recruitment Pass event where customers need to check-in at five different stations to get a chance to win an Xbox One console. Microsoft is also setting up an army-themed “Mess Hall” featuring COD-branded Mountain Dew Energy drinks, Doritos samples, a live DJ, and more giveaways. Lastly, the company will be setting up gaming stations where customers can be one of the first to experience Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
The following stores will feature the aforementioned extra special events – Fashion Valley (San Diego, CA), Oakbrook Center (Oakbrook, IL), Park Meadows (Lone Tree, CO), St. John’s Town Center (Jacksonville, FL), The Shops at La Cantera (San Antonio, TX), The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX), University Village (Seattle, WA), Walden Galleria (Buffalo, NY), Westfield Century City (Santa Monica, CA), Yorkdale (Toronto, ON).
