What's This?

Following its release in April, Office Lens is now widely available on the Play Store. The app, which was available to Window Phone users for some time now, has also been made available for Android users, too.

This application “trims, enhances, and makes pictures of whiteboards and docs readable. You can use Office Lens to convert images to PDF, Word and PowerPoint files, and you can even save images to OneNote or OneDrive. “

Office Lens makes use of the phone or tablet’s built-in camera and scans documents. It can also whiteboard the document and convert them either to PDF or to office document formats.

This app can be of great use if you have a habit of jotting down things on real paper and also tend to store things digitally.

According to Microsoft, this app works on devices running on software as old as Jelly Bean 4.1.
