Minecraft was available on a number of platforms viz., OS X, iOS, Windows, Windows Phone, Android, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS Vita, PS4, PS3, and Raspberry Pi. It seems that on Nintendo Wii U was left. And now Minecraft is finally coming to Wii U as well.

As the game came to Nintendo Wii U on December 17, people rushed to the Nintendo eShop which led to a few problems. Gamers who tried downloading the game as soon as it hit the eShop complained on social media about the server-connection warnings and errors they were encountering. The issue lasted till the next morning.

Luckily, the eShop is back to normal now, and gamers are able to download Minecraft without any problem. In a post published on Microsoft Studios, Microsoft wrote, “We’re working on new content for the Nintendo version and we’ll have more details about that later so stay tuned!”

The post further added, “Minecraft: Wii U Edition will have full play on the GamePad controller’s screen and split-screen play. As with the rest of the versions in Minecraft: Console Edition, it will support four players locally and up to eight players online.”
