Microsoft is expected to release the Microsoft Lumia 650 offering around mid-February and more information about the product has started cropping up. The device wil reportedly be shipping for €199.99 and $199 depending on the region. A recent list also shows more insight on what people can expect from the mid-ranger.
The €199.99 sans contract pricing coincides with previous reports about the device’s cost for the UK or Czech Republic. Likewise, WMPU reported about store card about the product revealing the following description: “The best of Windows, Uncompromised design and performance. The sleek metal design seals a powerful package for multi tasking and fast internet access.” The card also features a specs list:
- 8MP Camera
- 5MP Front Facing
- 97″ Display
- 3GHZ Quad Core
- 16GB Memory
- HD Voice Ready
- Features Glance Screen
Apart from the specs released, 3g also reported a tipster named “Core,” claiming that the device will also hit O2, EE and other international networks. Apart from the mentioned specs, there are also several talks about the device sporting a metallic frame on the corners. Furthermore, there have been reports that the Microsoft Lumia 650 will also offer a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The device will feature a 720 screen, plus standard connectivity options like GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. However, LTE support will not be available. According to analysts, it appears the Lumia 650 will be the last of its kind as Microsoft will be focusing more on its Surface Phone lineup. The first of which will be released this year as well.
As with other releases and leaks, people should take information with a grain of salt. Microsoft has to finalize the details of its smartphone lineups so it is best to wait for the official announcement. The features reported from the store card may or may not find their way until final confirmation.
