What's This?

Windows fans can now enjoy a new set of updates for windows 10 apps, as released by Microsoft recently. You can download the apps from the Microsoft store onto your PC’s running the new operating system.

The new batch of Windows 10 app updates includes Mail and Calendar, MSN Money, MSN News, MSN Sports, MSN weather and so on. The company hasn’t specified any particular release date, but users are advised to download and install the new Windows 10 version to receive updates on the apps.

So, what are the benefits of these updates? These updates are focused upon bringing improved performance of the apps and fixing any errors or bugs. The idea is to help the apps run smoothly on your computers.

Windows 10 store apps are updated at regular intervals. The switch to “Windows as a Service” has helped the Redmond-based company invite newer versions of installed apps to the app store without waiting for a bigger rollout. In addition to this, the company has worked upon augmenting user experience of existing and new apps. Apart from making all apps universally accessible, Microsoft has changed the feel and look of the apps when they appear on PCs or smartphones.

The tech company plans to add more content to the store apart from the apps and games. Soon, there will be TV series, movies, music and browser extensions available in the universal app store of Windows 10 devices, reports Softpedia.

MSPoweruser notes that Microsoft phone app recently got updated with Skype, unleashing new features for your phone. The update helps you to use Skype for making voice and video calls over cellular network and Wi-Fi. You can make Skype calls instantaneously from your mobile device or PC. Also, you can listen to your voicemail and manage all messages directly from the Phone app. You may record voice calls too over cellular or Wi-Fi. The most important features of all is that you can block unwanted calls on Skype by chucking out the number from call history.
