Microsoft Band 2 Update: 20 Tiles, Fitness Challenges, Notification Changes, Bug Fixes
Microsoft offers a more diligent way to keep track of your health and compare your health status with friends via a recent update to Health app on its Band 2 fitness tracker. The update includes up to 20 tiles in the band and brings with it several other features. It also lets you to challenge your Facebook friends for activities like cardio minutes, steps, bike rides and run, who also use the Microsoft Health app.
Apart from ensuring fruitful health results, the update brings new advantages. Instead of getting notifications for all apps on your mobile, you can set up the ability to choose only those apps that can send your notifications. You can find this feature in the change-log of Health app’s Windows Store listing, reports GSM Arena.
Windows Central also notes that the update lets users view more text on Facebook, text, Twitter and email and other notifications. To update to the latest version on Microsoft Band, visit the Windows Store where you will find it.
To enjoy all updates on the wearable, users need to install the new version of Microsoft Health app on their devices running on iOS, Windows or Android, reports PhoneArena. The Band 2 was announced on October 6, 2015 and is mainly focuses on health and fitness issues. The screen guarded by Gorilla Glass 3 with OLED display. The biggest advantage is that its screen is highly responsive to touch.
Other features available on the wearable include UV monitoring, GPS, sleep tracking, guided workouts, calories tracking, smart notifications and a barometer for tracking elevation changes. Cortana integration is present in the Band 2 as well.
